Argentina and Inter Miami captain, Lionel Messi has revealed his kids would not allow him forget the race to hit 1,000 career goals even though he pays no attention to the milestone. Messi grabbed a brace and an assist as Inter Miami rallied for a 5-3 victory over Cincinnati on Wednesday, extending their road winning streak to seven. The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner now has 909 career goals, only 91 away from a record-breaking 1,000 goals. Messi, who will be 39 in June, said he was not concerned about achieving the feat but his kids often reminded him about it, according to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. Meanwhile, his perceived career rival, 41-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo currently has 965 career goals. The Portugal and Al Nassr captain is favourite to hit the milestone first.
