The People’s Redemption Party in Bauchi State has vowed to protect votes cast for its candidates and ensure that election results reflect the wishes of the electorate.The pledge was made on Tuesday by a chieftain of the party, Garba Chiroma, while speaking at an event organised to provide support to vulnerable women in Kirfi Local Government Area through the Shehu Buba Charity Foundation.Chiroma assured supporters that the party was prepared to take all necessary measures to ensure that votes cast for the PRP were protected and properly accounted for during the election.He said, “We are aware that some of you are being discouraged that the election may be rigged, but I am giving you my assurance that our governorship candidate is well prepared and ready.
