They are presently in custody and assisting investigators as efforts continue to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident,” he said.‎‎He noted that the case remained under investigation, assuring residents that the command would ensure justice is served.‎‎“The investigation is ongoing, and the command is committed to gathering all relevant facts to ensure that justice is done,” Abdulkarim added.‎‎Reacting to the incident, the state Commissioner of Police, Usman Kanfani Jibrin, condemned the alleged killing, describing it as a “heinous and inhuman act.”‎‎Jibrin said, “Every human life is precious and must be protected. The command will not tolerate violence against children or any vulnerable member of society.”‎‎He warned that anyone found culpable would face prosecution in accordance with the law.‎‎“Whoever is found responsible for this crime will be prosecuted in line with the provisions of the law,” the commissioner stated.‎‎The police chief further reiterated the rights of every child to protection, care and dignity, stressing that violators of such rights would be made to face the full weight of the law.‎‎“Every child has inherent rights guaranteed by law and deserves protection, care and dignity.
