Students of Nigerian Navy Secondary School Abeokuta (NNSS) have emerged winners of the relay race at the 8th Annual Sports Competition held in Ogun State. The competition, which took place at Command Secondary School Lafenwa, featured six participating schools, with NNSS Abeokuta outperforming its rivals to secure first position. The Navy school team demonstrated strong teamwork, speed and coordination throughout the event, earning accolades from organisers and spectators. Speaking after the victory, the Commandant of NNSS Abeokuta, Captain OA Adesiyan, congratulated the students on their achievement and encouraged them to remain committed to both academic and extracurricular excellence. The Brigade Commander at the event also praised the students for their sportsmanship and performance, describing the win as a reflection of their hard work and dedication. He commended officers, men and civilian staff of the school for their support and mentorship, urging them to continue shaping students’ lives through discipline, quality education and service to the nation. In a related development, NNSS Abeokuta also clinched first place at the Invitational Relay Race Competition organised by Mueenat International School Abeokuta earlier in February.
