July 14, 2025 — Italian club Napoli has entered into fresh direct negotiations with Turkish champions Galatasaray for the potential sale of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano. Romano revealed on Sunday that Galatasaray has submitted a formal offer structured at €40 million upfront, with two additional €17.5 million installments, bringing the total value to €75 million. While Napoli is reportedly open to the deal, the Serie A side has set two key conditions: Revised payment terms, and Bank guarantees to secure the installments. “New direct talks underway today for Osimhen deal ahead of crucial week,” Romano posted via X. “Galatasaray bid on the table: €40m now plus €17.5m and €17.5m in installments. Napoli are open to this solution but insist on different payment terms and bank guarantees.” Meanwhile, Osimhen, 26, is said to have rejected offers from Saudi club Al Hilal, expressing a clear preference to join Galatasaray, where he is reportedly eager to play in the UEFA Champions League and reunite with former teammates. If finalized, the deal would represent one of the biggest transfers in Turkish football history and mark the end of Osimhen’s four-year spell in Naples, where he played a key role in their 2022/2023 Scudetto-winning campaign.
