The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a man in connection with the alleged defilement of his eight-month-old stepdaughter in Toro Local Government Area of the state.The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Nafiu Habib, disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Sani-Omolori Aliyu.According to the statement, a report was received on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at about 5:34pm, alleging that Balarabe Adamu, a resident of Lame in Toro LGA and stepfather of the victim, “sexually abused his 8-month-old stepdaughter, who was brought to his residence by his wife.”Following the incident, the victim was immediately taken to the General Hospital, Toro, for medical examination and treatment.“Upon receipt of the report, operatives attached to Gumau Division swiftly responded and arrested the suspect.
