The academic and political landscape of FUTO witnessed a historic milestone today as the Jagaban dynasty officially coronated it's new leadership. The event which saw the coronation of the Jagaban VIII Hon .comr. Opara Prince and his dynasty members was held at the Elvis Bukateria, FUTO.
The event which commenced at around 3:36pm had an opening prayer made by the Sage of the imperial Jagaban dynasty. The Chancellor and the Marshall took the stage to enlighten students on the purpose and vision of the Jagaban dynasty stating that the structure was built to train and nurture the next generation of student leaders.
In attendance was the SA to the vice chancellor of FUTO on students affairs Hon. Okereke Bishop, the Primus Jagaban Comr. Ejike PraiseGod, the CEO of Campus pilot, the NANS JCC Chairman Comr. Nwosu Stanley, the NANS national DTE, the apex dynasty menbers, many other dignitaries and Nigerian Students.
A key highlight of the day was made by The SA to the VC of FUTO on students affairs, who emphasized the dynasty's vital role within the institution. While speaking to students, he stated that academic excellence remains a prerequisite for leadership and only students with high grades will be eligible to aspire for leadership positions within the Students Union Government (SUG) and other students leadership positions.
The coronation was an event organised to coronate the imperial Jagaban dynasty ably led by Hon. Comr. Opara Prince (Jagaban VIII)
The Jagaban dynasty remains a formidable force at the Federal University of Technology Owerri, which grooms student leaders, maintains balance and gives students and leaders the knowledge and essential relationship they need to strive even after leaving the university.
The event has marked a great milestone in student leadership as the new leaders of the Jagaban Dynasty takes the mantle of leadership to drive the academic and political sector of the university to greater heights.
