The Students' Union Government (SUG) of Imo State University (IMSU) through the office of the SUG Director of Information Comr. Egema Sunshine Chiamaka has announced a ban on all non-academic activities within the university premises, effective Saturday, September 20, 2025.

The ban, codenamed "#Operation Imo Stars: Focus and Study," aims to ensure students prioritize academic activities as exams approach. All social gatherings, parties, congresses, elections, and other non-academic events are strictly prohibited from 4:00 PM on September 20.

According to the SUG, the restrictions are designed to minimize distractions and enable students to concentrate on their studies. Violators will face consequences from the School Management, Students' Affairs, and SUG.
The 19th Republic SUG President, Comr. Brendan Daberechukwu Ijezie (Ikenga), emphasized the importance of academic excellence, urging students to study hard and make good grades this semester.
The SUG has wished all students exam success and encouraged them to remain focused on their academic goals.
