Gunmen kill man, abduct wife in Kebbi

Gunmen have killed a 35-year-old man, Sufiyanu Garba, and abducted his wife during an attack in the Badariya area of Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, in the early hours of Thursday. Confirming the incident in a statement on Friday, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Bashir Usman, said the command had commenced a full investigation into the incident. He said, “The Kebbi State Police Command expresses concern over an unfortunate incident that occurred in the early hours of today, 13th March 2026, in Badariya area of Birnin Kebbi, which resulted in the death of Sufiyanu Garba, aged 35, and the abduction of his wife.” Usman explained that detectives promptly visited the scene and began necessary investigations immediately after the report.
