The Secretary to the Government of Gombe State, Ibrahim Njodi, has warned staff of the Gombe State Liaison Office in Kaduna against absenteeism, truancy and poor work ethics.Njodi said the administration of Governor Muhammadu Yahaya will not tolerate indiscipline in the civil service.He gave the warning on Monday during a visit to the liaison office, where he interacted with members of staff and inspected facilities at the premises.The visit coincided with the Annual General Meeting of the New Nigerian Development Company Limited in Kaduna.Addressing the workers, the SSG described laxity toward official duties as unacceptable, stressing that public servants must justify the confidence reposed in them through productivity.“On no account should any member of staff in this liaison office display a nonchalant attitude towards government business.
