The Office of the Director of Transport, Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) Students’ Union Government, has marked its first 100 days in office, recording significant achievements aimed at improving transportation and mobility for students on campus.
Within this period, the office successfully implemented the *“Travel Back with Ease” and “Welcome Back with Ease”* initiatives, ensuring smoother, safer, and more organized movement of students during peak travel periods. The office also strengthened *collaboration with the FUTO Bike Association,* fostering better coordination and efficiency within the campus transport system.
As part of its commitment to safety and professionalism, the office facilitated the *provision of aprons for bike operators,* improving identification and orderliness.
Additionally, a new *bus stop project* was initiated to enhance accessibility, reduce congestion, and improve the overall commuting experience for students.
