In a decisive victory, Barrister Dr. Kingsley Ud. Okonkwo has been declared President-elect of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) Bar Association (FBA) for 2026, securing 123 votes.
Barr. Dr. Nwadi Chibuonum Assumpta emerged as Vice President-elect with 122 votes.
Other winners include Barr. Chukwunonso Uche as Secretary General (81 votes), Barr. Njoku Mitcheal Kadxel as Director of Socials (65 votes),
Barr. Chima Jane Chinonso (Assistant Secretary General, 121 votes)
Barr. Dr. Oweiotu-Ebi Tamaraemomomi (Treasurer, 118 votes), and
Barr. Chuba-Diobi Chimaobi Bryan (Director of Protocols, 121 votes).
The Independent Barristers Electoral Commission (IBEC) oversaw the elections, reporting 126 votes cast, with a few voided votes.
