Operatives of the Ekiti State Amotekun Corps have arrested five suspected gunmen shortly after their arrival in the state. The suspects were apprehended on Wednesday in Ekiti West Local Government Area, with arms and other items recovered from them, the Amotekun State Communications Officer, Adeleye Adewale, confirmed in a statement on Thursday in Ado Ekiti. The suspects were identified as Abdulahi Makana (28), Shuaba Ibrahim (25), Adamu Muhammed (25), Shlibu Umar (31), and Aruna Yahaya (28). Adewale stated that the suspects, who reportedly hail from the northern region of the country, were arrested at Itawure upon alighting from a vehicle.
