A fashion designer, David Brownson has emerged winner of the second season of the reality television competition, Inferno Runway, marking a defining moment in his decade-long creative journey. Brownson, who is the founder and Creative Director of D. BROWNSON, is based in Akwa Ibom State. Since launching his brand in 2016, he has built a reputation for boundary-pushing designs that fuse African royalty, cinematic storytelling and cutting-edge aesthetics. His participation in Season 2 of Inferno Runway proved to be a breakthrough. The fashion design competition, organised by Dr Brendan Nsikak of Brendance and Crusader Limited alongside Bob Cal of Fetv NY USA, tested contestants on high-level creativity, innovation and technical mastery. From the onset of the competition, Brownson stood out with his signature futuristic Afro-inspired creations. Week after week, he impressed judges and audiences alike, dominating challenges with bold concepts and meticulous craftsmanship. His visionary interpretation of the season’s theme, “The African Dream,” ultimately earned him the crown. With the victory, Brownson secured a prize package including N2m cash, an exclusive showcase slot at Fashion Week Brooklyn scheduled for April 17 in New York City, and a fashion editorial feature in the publication Fashion Avenue News during New York Fashion Week in September.
