The Chartered Institute of Administration has inducted 290 new members into its professional ranks as it seeks to strengthen the capacity of Nigeria’s administrative and management profession. According to a statement issued by the institute on Monday, the new members were admitted during the 57th induction ceremony, held on June 25 and 26 at the Centre for Management Development in Lagos. They were inducted across three membership categories: Associate, Member, and Fellow. In his welcome address, the President/Chairman of Council of the institute, Ugochukwu Azubuko, congratulated the inductees, who were considered qualified to join the ranks of professional administrators in various membership grades following a thorough screening process, including passing the institute’s prescribed professional qualifying examinations. Azubuko noted that the rigorous screening process was designed to ensure that prospective members are qualified in character, learning, and experience, and are equipped with the requisite administrative knowledge and skills to function as professionals, adding that the institute prides itself on excellence and professionalism. He urged the inductees to be good ambassadors of the institute and the administration profession by strictly adhering to the institute’s code of ethics while carrying out their duties as professional administrators.
