California — National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) club Bay FC have celebrated Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala for her role in Nigeria’s successful outing at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON). Oshoala was honoured at PayPal Park ahead of Bay FC’s clash with San Diego Wave, in recognition of her performances at the continental showpiece. The 30-year-old featured in all five matches for Nigeria at the tournament, scoring once in the Falcons’ opening 3-0 win over Tunisia. A four-time WAFCON champion, Oshoala has made 61 appearances for Nigeria, netting 37 goals.
